Mill Valley Tam Peak (Red)

$300.00

This multi-color, hand pulled silkscreen print depicts the view from Richardson Bay through the headlands of Mill Valley to the east peak of Mount Tamalpais. The print is comprised of five separate layers, including three with split fountain gradients, which build depth and create a greater contrast of color within the relief. Each is printed on archival cotton rag paper and hand torn to size, leaving a finished deckled edge. Each of the 40 prints are slightly varied and unique because of the printing techniques involved in the process.

From Drew:

“A common thread throughout my work is drawing inspiration from things I encounter on a weekly, if not daily basis. While commuting home to Marin from San Francisco, I was stuck in traffic on Richardson Bay Bridge and took photos of Tam's east peak loving the vantage point of being up over the water with an unobstructed view of the mountain. I have a difficult time settling on one color way for my prints, especially with landscapes. I really enjoy seeing how different colors within the same composition change the presentation and engagement with each viewer.”

Details about the print
Dimensions:
± 16 × 24 inches
